The visionary parent company behind some of the most beloved establishments in the South West, World Famous Dive Bars has mastered the art of creating authentic spaces where communities thrive and memories are made. Each venue under their umbrella maintains its unique character while delivering the consistent quality their reputation is built on.
Marc Griffiths moved to Bristol in 2007 where he opened The Mother’s Ruin in November of that same year, funded primarily by money he made from his small café in Worcester, the city where he was raised.
His vision for The Ruin was simple - an unpretentious space for those from all backgrounds to enjoy, with a warm, intimate and unique feel.
Through joining Marc at The Ruin and implementing a series of incredibly effective improvements, including taking advantage of the late license, turning the pub into the late-night hotspot it is now, Paddy gained operator status in 2009.
The pair went on to open several pubs and venues, bringing us to the current day, where they operate 4 pubs, alongside a small flurry of side-projects.
